Overview
Lashawn Richburg-Hayes, PhD, is a Vice President for Education Studies. She leads work focused on finding ways to improve academic outcomes among historically marginalized students. Earlier, she was director of MDRC’s Young Adults and Postsecondary Education policy area. She was also the Project Director and Co-Principal Investigator of the Behavioral Interventions to Advance Self-Sufficiency (BIAS) project and a Co-Principal Investigator of the BIAS Next Generation project, both sponsored by HHS ACF.
Richburg-Hayes is a past president of the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE), a founding board member of SREE’s Researchers of Color affiliation group, and a member of the Advancing Culturally Responsive and Equitable Evaluation Network. She serves on the Policy Council of the Association of Public Policy and Management and is Vice Chair of the Board of the Milbank Memorial Fund, a private foundation seeking to connect leaders and decisionmakers with the best evidence and experience.
